Micro-dermabrasion

Treatment Description

Micro-dermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-invasive facial procedure with minimal a downtime. It effectively removes dead skin cells from the skins surface with a diamond tip head piece and vacuum suction technology. As the diamond head exfoliates the superficial layer of dead skin cells, it encourages blood circulation and lymphatic drainage thus improving the skins tone whilst reducing puffiness. The sensation of the procedure can be described as 'scratchy' and relatively comfortable to endure. Microdermabrasion is extremely effective when paired with a light peel for deeper exfoliation as it gives intense skin resurfacing.

Epionce Lite Refresh Peel

The Science

Epionce Lite Refresh peel is a chemical peel which utilises salicylic and malic acid. Salicylic acid is a Beta-Hydroxy acid (BHA). BHA's work on both above and below the skins surface. It’s oil soluble, so is best suited for normal to oily skin prone to bumps, clogs, blemishes and enlarged pores. BHA also has natural skin-calming properties, so it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin. The peel also contains Malic acid which is an Alpha-Hydroxy acid (AHA), which targets the lowest layer of the epidermis (skin) to enhance hydration while encouraging healthy cell turnover, making the skin more youthful and radiant.

This peel contains 5% BHA & 30% AHA and is called the 'Lite Refresh Peel' as it is suitable for all skin types & conditions - its a perfect all rounder.

When combined with another treatment like microdermabrasion or dermaplaning, this peel creates marvellous radiant results. This is because the peel is able to penetrate the pores immediately as the dead skin cells have
been previously been removed.

Microneedling (eDermastamp skin rejuvenation)

The science

There are two types of microneedling. Dermal - deep needling (anaesthetic cream is used) and epidermal - more superficial needling (no anaesthetic cream is used)

Microneedling is an effective treatment for multiple skin issues. Another name for this painless treatment is Collagen Induction Therapy. Collagen cells are what keeps our skins youthful, smooth, lineless and supple.  As we age our collagen and elastin levels dramatically decrease resulting in skin laxity, drooping/sagging skin,  dull sallow complexions, loss in plumpness with lines and wrinkles becoming more visible.

Microneedling increases collagen production by causing controlled stimulation to the skin with the use of multiple sterilised needles. This process creates microscopical channels in the skin. Our skins natural response kick-starts a rejuvenation process which increases collagen production in the treated area. Hyaluronic acid, a strong hydrating serum, is used to penetrate the skin which plumps and hydrates from the inside out.

How many and how often?

A course of 3 is required for fine lines and mild scarring every 4 weeks.
